Joseph A. Zambiella Sr., 92, of Tyrone, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was born on May 17, 1931 in Oakville Connecticut to the late Gennaro and Madeline (Desena) Zambella. On February 7, 1952, in Oakville Connecticut, he married Lorraine (Alves) who preceded him in death in 2017.

Surviving are his children; Joseph Jr. (Robin), Debra Genet (Jim), and Brenda Stringer (Ray). Grand children; Wayne, Kyra, Bill, Chrystal, Jennifer and Charles; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathon Verbickas. Joseph was the last of his immediate family.

Joseph was a member of First Assembly of God church in Tyrone, Elks Lodge #212 and Hookies. He was the owner of Blair County Glass and served the Tyrone area for many years.

Joseph held his family close to his heart and loved being with them, especially on holidays when he would toast the room, play Santa for the kids and especially his favorite, coloring eggs.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family at their convenience.
