Joseph Wilmer Dawson III, 77, of Tyrone, passed away November 21, 2021. He was born March 3,1944 to the late Joseph W Dawson II and Anna Mary (Biddle) Dawson.

Joseph attended Tyrone Area High School - Class of 1962 retired from PPG Industries after 35 years of service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Member of the Allegheny Hunting Club and was quite a Pinochle player. Joe was known for his unique sense of humor, his love of trains and was a life-long fan of Pittsburgh Sports and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Joe is survived by children, Richard Dawson (Laetitia), Erin Lowery and Robert Dawson; grandchildren, Lauren Dawson, Maxwell Dawson, Seth Welch, Shaniah Lowery;

great-grandchildren, Jameson Jones; and niece, Pam. He was preceded in death wife, Debora Dawson (Jackson); sister, Sally Hoover, Joseph and Gregory.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 11am at Grace Baptist Church 2308 Adams Ave, Tyrone, PA. A light luncheon will follow.
