John Alfred Lamberson, 75 of Port Matilda and formerly of Tyrone, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born in Altoona on August 13, 1947, the son of the late John Winters and Mildred Ruth (Laughlin) Lamberson. On August 10, 1976 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone he married Sherry Lannen who survives. Also surviving is his daughter: Stacy (Christopher) Marini of Tyrone; grandchildren: Theodore and Bennett; and sisters: Judy Elaine Lamberson of State College, and Ruth Waksmunski of Altoona.

John was a 1965 graduate of Tyrone High School. He was employed at Corning Glass Works for 36 years in various departments before retiring as a tank operator in 2003. After retirement he attended South Hills where he received his Associate's Degree in Computer Software.

He enjoyed boating and fishing, especially on Lake Raystown, he liked his animals, and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers, and Nittany Lions football. He also loved Disney World.

Services for John Alfred Lamberson will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park. Contributions in John's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
