John Frank Crowl, 87, of State College, formerly of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away on February 2, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1937 to the late Thomas J. and Lois (Corbett) Crowl in Cleveland, OH. He married the love of his life Judith Heinke on June 25, 1960. She passed away in December of 2021 after 63 years of marriage.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Crowl Del Baggio (Benny); a daughter-in-law, Debbie Crowl; grandchildren, Courtney King (Seth), Jonathan Crowl, Benedict Del Baggio IV, Nicholas Del Baggio, Chloe Crowl, and Caylen Crowl; Great grandchild, Reese King. He was preceded in death by his son, John P. Crowl and brother Thomas Crowl.

John excelled in academics and football throughout school. He went to Purdue University for economics and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and participated in Blue–Gray Football Classic. But, the most important thing from Purdue University was meeting his love Judith.

John served as a general manager all over and even in the UK. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. . He also enjoyed going on cruises and traveled most of the world. John took pride in his children and kept them busy. If it wasn't boating and fishing on Lake Erie, it would be having them involved with any type of sports. He loved his family, especially all his grandchildren.
