Joanne M. Cannistraci, 85 of Tyrone, died Early Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1936, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Sweitzer) Moore. On July 15, 1961, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona she married John Cannistraci who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Matthew (Susan), Daniel (Elizabeth), and Mark (June) Cannistraci; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Latchford and was the last of her immediate family.

Joanne was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. She was also a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. She worked for many years at Nittany Eye Associates.

She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Tyrone, and a longtime member of the church's choir as well as the community choir. She liked to sew and go on bus tours during her vacations.

A private funeral service for Joanne M. Cannistraci will be held at the convenience of the family with Reverend Ron Baker officiating.
