Jeffery L. Boytim, 66, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday. He was born in Tyrone, a son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Lewis) Boytim.

On Aug. 16, 1980, at Wesley United Methodist Church, he married Wendy (Neil) Boytim who preceded him in death on March 14, 2016.

He is survived by two sons, Michael and Todd Boytim; six siblings: Carol (John) Phillinger, Don (Marilyn) Boytim, Jeanne (Tim) Frederick, Ron Boytim, Jackie Boytim Brooks and Lee (Alan) Boytim; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He worked as a machinist in the tool and die department of F.L. Smithe Machine Co. Inc.

He was a member of Covenant Community Church in Bellwood, where he enjoyed attending and being a part of the church family. Jeff was also a member of the VFW, Legion and the Hookies.

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on projects around the house and helping others. He also liked being outdoors, trying his luck with gardening, and the Minnesota Vikings. He was very proud of his sons and cherished the time he spent with them.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Jan 6, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Josh Crumlich officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
