Jane E. McClaskey, 77, of Altoona died Friday October 14, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born July 16, 1939 in Williamsburg, a daughter of Clair and Margaret (Cavanaugh) Clapper. On August 1, 1960 in Altoona she married Donald J. McClaskey Jr. He died February 7, 1999.

Surviving are a daughter Pamela J. Lynn and husband Andrew of Tyrone, a son Jeffrey D. McClaskey of Altoona, five grandchildren, Michael Young, Danielle Wombacher, Nicole Weimert, Jamie Dawn McClaskey and Becky Jean Hawes, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son Donald J. McClaskey III, a brother John Clapper, two sisters Audrey Hicks and Lillian Hyle and an infant brother Donald.

Jane retired form Hillview Nursing Home, Altoona in 1999 as a nursing assistant after many years of service. She truly loved each and every resident she cared for.

Jane graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1956.

There will be no public viewing or services. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
