Obituary

Jane A. Bollinger, age 96, of Tyrone died Sunday, March 5, 2017 she was born June 12, 1920 in Phillipsburg the daughter of Herbert and Pearl Sauers Ammerman. On September 21, 1942 in Austin Texas she was married to Ralph M. Bollinger who preceded her in death March 8, 1994. She is survived by three daughters Linda Robinson (Donald), Bellefonte, Barbara Ross, Tonawanda, NY and Beverly Fink (Robert) of Tyrone. also surviving are eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters Edna Stewart and Nancy Wagner and a son-in-law Paul Ross and was the last of her immediate family.

Mrs. Bollinger was a member of the first English Lutheran Church of Tyrone and had served on the altar Guild and as a church money counter

She was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School class of 1939. Upon graduation she worked for Burley Brothers and then was later employed as the LP clerk for Penn fuel propane. She was awarded a merit recognition of faithful service as an LP chief clerk of the year in 1978.

Jane enjoyed crocheting, traveling, doing crossword puzzles, reading and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Jane A. Bollinger will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11 AM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Sharon Erb officiating. Private interment will follow in Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM until the 11 AM service
