James Walter Schopp, 52, of Tyrone died at home Saturday April 25, 2020. He was born September 28, 1967. Jim is survived by his mother and step-father: Linda and Clair Bonsell; three sons: Justin (Erica), A.J. (Katie) and Jason Schopp; four grandsons: Blake, Jaxon, Ryder and Jones Schopp; and one sister: Denise Sprankle.

Jim was a 1985 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was employed by State of the Art, Inc. as an electrical engineer before his retirement. He enjoyed supporting his family in their interests, coaching, technology and gadgets. He was the family Mr. Fix It, and his hobbies included crafting and creating things.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at a later date with Reverend Carl Schmidt officiating. Interment will be at the Bald Eagle Cemetery.
