James G. Patton III, 63 died Saturday November 3rd, 2018. He was born January 21, 1955, the son of James G. and Caroline E. DeLong Patton. He is survived by 3 children: Amber (Kevin) Quartz of Mt. Wolfe, Ashley (Bruno III) DeGol of Hollidaysburg, and Taylor Patton of Eagle County; 1 brother: Donald Patton; 1 sister-in-law: Anna Fink; 3 nieces and nephews; and 1 companion: Linda Gibson. He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Robert Patton; and 1 sister: Cynthia Ann.

A 1972 graduate of Tyrone Area High School, James was an extremely talented artist. His hobbies included watching Nascar and NHRA racing and fishing. Mr. Patton also enjoyed helping with Habitat for Humanity and volunteering his time helping out at the 18th Street Church in Altoona.

A memorial service for James G. Patton III will be held at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Paul Johnson officiating. Friends will be received for visitation on Sunday November 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
