James William "Cork" Lynn, 76 of Sparks, NV and formerly of Tyrone, passed away, Thursday, November 25, 2021. He was born on August 8, 1945, in Philipsburg, the son of the late William and Adelaide (Warnock) Lynn. He is survived by a brother: Robert H. (Annette) Lynn of Tyrone; one niece: Andrea Lynn; three nephews: Austin, Benjamin, and Alex (Abby) Lynn; one great-nephew: Grayson Lynn; and a cousin Marty (Jim) Akrop of Reno, NV.

Cork was a 1963 graduate of Tyrone Area High School; he received his bachelor's degree from Thiel College in 1967 and his masters from Kent State in 1969. Following his masters degree he served honorably in the US Army from October 1969 to October 1971. He worked as a marketing manager for numerous companies throughout his professional career.

Cork had a passion for golfing and was also an avid reader.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
