James Franklin Cupp, 85 of Tyrone, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born in Tyrone on September 2, 1937, the son of the late Frank David and Alice Roberta (Ellenberger) Cupp. On February 9, 1957, at the Dungarvin Methodist Church, he married Ramona L. Dillon who preceded him in death on July 15, 2014. He is survived by four children: Susan (David Rider) Weaver, Jimmy (Karen) Cupp, Brenda (Blair) Druckenmiller, and Joe (Dora Hildebrand) Cupp; four grandchildren: Jessica Shaffer, Tyler Cupp, and Wyatt and Kirsten Druckenmiller; and three great-grandchildren: Shawn and Brittany Chamberlin, and Ava Shaffer. He was also preceded by a sister: Judy Henninger, and was the last of his immediate family.

James was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was employed at Murata-Erie where he worked as a chemical handler before retiring. He attended the Dungarvin Methodist Church, was a former member of the NRA, and was a member at the Tyrone Sportsman's Association.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, sitting on his porch, hanging out at the hunting camp, target shooting, and most of all spending time with his family. He also loved his little beagle Tucker.

A noon funeral service for James Franklin Cupp will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Steven Burns officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday from 11 am until the noon service. Interment will be made at Ross Cemetery following the service.
