Helen E. C. Meredith, 110, of Tyrone and a guest at Epworth Manor, died Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was born on November 13, 1909 in Tyrone, the daughter of the late David H. and Minnie (Hampton) Meredith. Helen is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.

Helen was a 1930 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. Following graduation she was employed by Wilson Chemical Company for 10 years, Reliance Manufacturing Company for 9 years and The Chicago Rivet and Machine Company, retiring after 20 years of service as an inspector.

Helen belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, where she also attended Sunday school classes. She enjoyed participating in Bible study classes at the Pennsylvania House in Tyrone, socializing with friends, spending time with her family, completing crossword puzzles, and being a part of the Chicago Rivet retirement breakfast group.

A memorial service will be scheduled to honor the life of Helen E. C. Meredith at a later date with Rev. Mark Liller officiating. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
