Harold G. Green, 89, died Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg where he had been a resident for the past 7 years.
He was born October 26, 1925 at Caywood, New York.a son of George A. and Flora (Nivison) Green.
Survived by: his children Melissa Bell and husband Ron of McAlisterville, Pa.; Rodger A. Green and wife Terri of Goldsboro, N.C.; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; a brother, Royce A. Green and wife Joan of Horseheads, N.Y.; a brother-in-law, Donald Munson of Dansville, N.Y.; 5 nieces a nephew and former wife, Beryl Smith, of McAlisterville. Preceding him in death were two sisters, M. Esther Anecelle and Elsie Munson; and a brother-in-law, Jack Anecelle. He had also been employed at Rimmey's Garage, Centre Hall, as a mechanic. He had been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Centre Hall, where he had served as a Deacon. Earlier in life he had been a member of Valois Community Church, Valois, N.Y., and a member of the Valois Grange. He attended Ovid High School, Ovid, N.Y. .
Mr. Green had been employed in the janitorial departments at Penn State University and the State College Area School District. He had also been a farmer for several years.
He enjoyed mowing grass.
Memorial services will be held Sunday April 26, 2015 at 7 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Roger Traxler officiating. Private interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Matilda.
