Geraldine Adair Shildt, 90, of Tyrone died Monday March 25, 2019 at her residence.

She was born September 22, 1928 in Tyrone, a daughter of George Roy and Kathryn (Gunsallus) Eckroth. On January 10 1948 in Winchester, Virginia she married Leroy F. "Sonny" Shildt. He died April 22, 1991.

Surviving are two sons; Leroy "Cork" F. III and his wife Linda of Mt. Holly Springs, Gary L.. and his wife Wanda of Alliquipa, a daughter Vicki Molnar and husband John of Tyrone, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, a brother George Roy Eckroft Jr. of Tyrone and a sister Judy Black of Naples, Florida. She was preceded in death by a sister Georgianna Lapp.

Mrs. Shildt retired in 1990 from Penn State as a group leader in food service following 25 years service. She was previously employed at Tyrone Hospital for four years.

She enjoyed her many good friends, bingo, traveling and going to the casinos.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Fr. Jozef Kovacik and John Watters officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M and on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of services.
