Geraldine May "Gerri" Anderson, 85 of Tyrone, passed away on May 26, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in Tyrone on December 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Albert D. Harris and Alpha (Fink) Harris Ramsey. On October 9, 1958, she married John Benson. On January 1, 1980, in Byron, GA, she married Harold Robert "Andy" Anderson who preceded her in death on August 30, 2022. She is survived by three daughters: Lisa Benson (Barry) Shaffer of Tyrone, Lori Benson (Mark) Howard of Macon, GA, and Denise Anderson (Ronnie) Benton of Beulah, AL,: six grandchildren: Jessica and Josh Daniel, Jared Howard, April Smith Rogers, and Braxton and Kody Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Carrie Gail Supina, Susan Kester, and Hazel Lawruk; two brothers: Vern and Thomas Harris; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Rose Arlene Fogle; and four brothers: John, Charles, Lawrence, and Albert Harris.

Gerri retired from the WalMart distribution center in Woodland, PA 2003.

Gerri loved caring for children, spending time with family and friends,caring for her pets and enjoying nature.

Private interment will be made at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
