George A. Eaken Jr., 65, of Grazierville died Sunday April 28, 2019 at his residence.

He was born October 10, 1953 in Philipsburg, a son of George Sr. and Anna (Wilson) Eaken. On October 7, 1978 at Grazierville United Methodist Church he married Judy A. Nevling.

Surviving are his wife, a son Tighe B. and wife Amber of Bellwood, a daughter Kirstin L. Steele and husband Adam of Grazierville, four grandchildren; Maesen Kaide, Tighe Brandon Jr., Ashlyn Leigh and Keaton Joseph and a brother Terry and wife Carol of Grazierville. He was preceded in death by a sister Trudie Brower.

George was a self-employed construction contractor. He was a 1971 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a Penn State graduate with a degree in drafting.

He was a member of Grazierville United Methodist Church, UVA Club, Bellwood and the Tyrone Elks #212 where he was past exalted ruler.

George loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events including soccer, baseball and football. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed Tyrone High School football.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 2, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Carl A. Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Grazierville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
