George Newton Colpetzer, 80, formally of Tyrone, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2023. Born November 12, 1943, in Half Moon Twp, Centre County, the son of Robert R. and Fannie Woomer Colpetzer.

He was united in marriage to the former Joan Fasekas on March 27, 1971, who preceded him in death.

George was employed by various dairy farms throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. His dedication, care and work ethic left a favorable impression on all who knew him despite his handicaps. He especially loved caring for the Jersey cattle breed. He also enjoyed doing wood crafts.

He was a lifetime member of the First Assembly of God Church, Tyrone, PA.

He was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth L. and Thomas A. Colpetzer. He is survived by a brother Raymond R. Colpetzer, Tyrone, and a sister Rebecca R. (Dennis) Hardy of Alum Bank., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A 1 pm celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Benjamin Crum officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 11 am until the time of service. Private interment will be made at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
