Gene E. Irvin Sr., of Tyrone died Monday October 23, 2017 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born September 20, 1936 in Vail, a son of Edward and Edith (Gensimore) Irvin. On March 3, 1962 at Bald Eagle United Methodist Church he married Jane L. Conrad.

Surviving are his wife, four sons; Gene Jr. and wife Laurie of Tyrone, David and wife Catherine on Mechanicsburg, Gary and wife Rhonda of Williamsburg, Randall and wife Dawn of Tyrone, eight grandchildren; Titus, Sage, Jordan, Destiny, Madison, Connor, Noah and Lydia Irvin and a sister Patricia Fenaes of Panama City, Florida.

Mr. Irvin was owner of Irvin Trucking Inc., Northwood for 60 years.

He was a member and trustee of Northwood Baptist Chapel and a member of Tyrone Hookies. He had served with the National Guard, Tyrone for 9 years.

Gene enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his church and working on his trucks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 28, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Northwood Baptist Chapel with Pastor Tim Young officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday at Feller Memorial Home from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
