Florence A. Hample, 80, of State College, went to be with her lord and savior on Sunday, August 13, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1943 in Messina, Sicily, Italy, to the late John and Gina M. (Migliorino) Calabro. On July 22, 1961, Florence married Eugene W. Hample who preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by children John L. Hample, Michelann (Bryan L.) Diehl, Paul H. (Cheryl) Hample, and Gina D. (Steven C.) Tressler; grandchildren: Shawn, Jonah, Bryan Diehl, Nicolette Diehl, Nicolas Torsell, Josiah Hample and Jacob Hample; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Eugene W. Hample Jr. in 1978

Florence came to America when she was 15 years old on April 17 1958. She brought her culture from overseas, and spread traditions and love, to her family and whomever she met, with her love of cooking to taking care of others as a CNA at the Tyrone hospital. Florence had a golden heart and was a devoted wife, mother, and Christian.

Friends and family will be welcomed at Feller Memorial Home, on Friday, August 18, 2023, for a viewing from 2-4pm, then starting up again from 7-9pm. Saturday, August 19th, a viewing will be held 9-10am with a service to follow with Pastor Ben Frank officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
