Fay D. Price, 82 of Port Matilda, died Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born in Port Matilda on June 18, 1939, the son of the late Merrill and Mary Katherine (Casher) Price. On March 2, 1963 he married Darlene Goss who preceded him in death on August 4, 2017. Fay is survived by two daughters: Paula (Terry) Wheland of Jacksonville, NC, and Darla (Jeffrey) Shank of Middletown; two sons: Darrell (Lee Ann) Price of Port Matilda, and Joseph (Kristin) Price of Port Matilda; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother: Donald Price. He was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Fink.

Fay was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was then employed as a custodian at the school and retired in 2011 after 37 years of service. He was a life member of the Hannah United Methodist church where he held many offices throughout the years. He was also a member of the Prince Edward Spring Creek Lodge, The Valley of Harrisburg Scottish Rite Zembo Shrine, and the Middletown Masonic Lodge.

He was an avid reader, an avid singer and sang at many weddings and funerals. He was a world traveler and enjoyed yard sales. Fay loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.

A Noon inurnment for Fay D. Price will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Port Matilda with Pastor Bo King. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hannah United Methodist Church.
