Elizabeth Oster Black, age 98, a guest at Epworth Manor died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Manor. She was born November 10, 1915 in Tyrone, the daughter of J. Earl and Florence Peck Oster. On August 14, 1948 at the First Methodist Church, Altoona, she was married to Stanley R. Black who preceded her in death December 17, 1976. She is survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece – Philip J. (Phyllis) Woodring, Hereford, AZ, Richard J. (Lynne) Woodring, Leroy, NY and Elizabeth (Richard) Fetters, Escondido, CA; 4 great nieces and nephews and a great great niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine O. "Kay" Woodring.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

A private funeral service at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Jason Guillaume officiating will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Tyrone.
