Obituary

Earl Francis Bressler, 77 of Tyrone, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was born in Tyrone on October 30, 1948, the son of the late Francis Earl and Evelyn (Stroup) Bressler. On May 15, 1993, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone, he married Jean A. (Medasie) Bressler who survives. Also surviving is a daughter: Carol Sue (David) Gray; four grandchildren: Robert A. Smith, Kayla M. Smith, Mercedes AJ Robinson, and Cheyanne PL Bilbay; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Connie Seavey. Along with his parents he was preceded by a sister Margaret "Peggy" Bressler Moyer.

Earl was a 1966 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. Following school he enlisted in the Army National Guard. He worked as a mechanic in his early years at Dean Patterson's before he began working at Jean-O's Pizzeria where he met his wife and after they were married, helped her run the business. After selling the business, Earl worked at DelGrosso's Amusement Park and enjoyed it very much.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a Rotarian, a former member of the JCs, and he volunteered behind the scenes at the Tyrone Food Bank. He was also a former deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Tyrone.

He enjoyed classic cars, playing volleyball, watching the high school sporting events (especially basketball), and more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A 3 pm memorial service for Earl Bressler will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend James House officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 1 pm until the time of service. Contributions in Earl's memory may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
