Doris Louise Hall, 87 of Port Matilda, died Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1934 in Altoona, the daughter of the late George Washington and Elverda May (Fagley) Miller. On March 26, 1955 at the First English Lutheran Church, Tyrone, she was married to John Raymond Hall, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2014. She is survived by three children: Jeffrey A. and Ashley E. Hall, and Fay (Ray Jr.) Golden; five grandchildren: Kristen (Eric) Hoover, Nicole (Jim) Lingafelt, Matthew (Amanda) Golden, Keenan and Kyler Hall; and six great grandchildren: Tristan (Ronette), Trinity, Trace, Blaine, Brody, and Chase. She was preceded in death by one sister: Margaret Malick; and one half brother: Thomas Miller.
Doris was a 1953 graduate of Greenpark Union High School in Landisburg, PA. She retired in 1994 after 23 years of service from the housing department at Penn State University. She was a member of the Port Matilda Baptist Church where she volunteered in many of the church groups and was a former Sunday School teacher.
She enjoyed crocheting, and puzzles. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service for Doris Louise Hall will be held privately at a later date. Interment will be made at the Port Matilda Cemetery.
