Donald T. Ohmit Sr. of Tyrone, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born on August 7, 1956, in Akron, OH, the son of the late William Kenneth and Shirley (Jenkins) Ohmit. He is survived by four children: Don (Michele) Ohmit Jr., William Ohmit, Matthew Ohmitt, and Jeannine Ohmit; numerous grandchildren; six siblings: Becky, Cindy, Rhonda, Ted, Jim, and Herk; and his step-father: Doc Weaver. Along with his parents, he was preceded by three siblings: Theresa, Wendy, and Mark.

Don was a 1974 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School where he was an accomplished wrestler.

He worked most of his life as a dairy farmer and belonged to the Dairy Herdsman Association and was recognized by their magazine for his outstanding veterinary knowledge in 1980.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all, loved spending time with his family.

At Donald's request there will be no public services.
