Dolores T. Sickler, age 86, of Tyrone died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She was born January 19, 1931 in Tyrone, the daughter of William C. and Janet Robison Trimble. On June 27, 1953 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church she was married to Harry K. Sickler Jr. who survives. Also surviving are five children, Linda Suda (Russell) , Colleen Sickler Mertiff, Mary Suzanne Tomer, Deborah Sickler and Timothy W. Sickler and thirteen grandchildren – Ryan Grabill, Matt and Tyler Mertiff, Russell, Lauren and Alex Suda, Shemron, Gilad and Shawntal Tomer, Noelle Hess, Leah Heaton and Talon and Tage Sickler and seven great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Nancy Trimble. She was preceded in death by a son Harry K. Sickler III and a brother William Trimble.

Dolores was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1949 and following graduation had been employed as a telephone operator by Bell Telephone Company. While in high school she had served as the first head majorette. She was a member of the C.D. of A. Court St. Rita and of the Tyrone Service League, and had served as organizer of her THS class reunions. She enjoyed trips to the Notre Dame football games and their evenings beforehand with special friends Ara Parseghin and Tony Androski. She liked the beach and enjoyed spending many summers there. Delores loved her home and was very strong in her Catholic faith.

Funeral Mass for Dolores T. Sickler will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Tyrone, with Father Jozef Kovacik as celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Friday from 4 to

8 PM.
