David George Woomer, 96 of Tyrone, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born in Tyrone on June 12, 1929, a son of the late Ellis Carl and Elizabeth Louise (Bollinger) Woomer. He was first married to Elmira P. "Dolly" (Moore) Woomer on May 21, 1949. She preceded him in death on May 6, 1964. On February 14, 1988, he married Pam Lykens Woomer who survives. Also surviving are children: Nancy Narehood, Dale (Roberta) Woomer, Ronnie Miller, and Ron Morrissey; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Wood, Jeremy Hunter, Mary Jo McClellan, Andrew and Christopher Woomer, and Kimberly Dean; 6 great-grandchildren; and two siblings: John Woomer and Sara Taylor. He was preceded by siblings: Richard Woomer, William Woomer, and an infant sister, Libby Lou Woomer.

David attended Tyrone Area High School. He also attended Tipton Baptist Church. He worked as a farmer, and a millwright. He was also a veteran of the US Military. He enjoyed operating his heavy machinery as well as sitting on the back porch and watching nature.

A 2 pm funeral service for David George Woomer will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Jason Mauk officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until the 2 pm funeral service. Private interment will be held at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
