David Lynn McCahan, 63 of Tyrone, died on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born in Johnstown on February 28, 1957, the son of the late Robert K. and Jeanne B. (Butterbaugh) McCahan. In July of 1979 he married Connie Hall. He is survived by three children: Melissa McCahan, David (Lindsay) McCahan and Stephanie (John III) Stanton; five grandchildren: Erik, John IV, Peyton, Jack and Cooper; two sisters: Kathy (Woody) Kimble of LA and Jennifer Johnson of CA; and one brother: Daniel (Patti) McCahan of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded by one brother: James K. McCahan.

Dave was a 1975 graduate of Tyrone High School. After high school he served honorably in the US Navy. He was formerly employed at WestVaco before becoming an electrician and working for himself. He was a member of the Tyrone Elks lodge 212 where he was also a past exalted ruler.

Dave was an avid golfer and also liked to hunt but above everything else, he loved and cherished time with his family.

Services for David Lynn McCahan will be held at the convenience of the family.
