David Wesley Fike, 78 of Tyrone, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. He was born on October 27, 1941, the son of the late Charles and Florene (Gensimore) Fike. On August 18, 1973 in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania he married Darlene Atchinson who survives. He is also survived by two sons: Charles and Brian (Kristen); granddaughter: Violet: one brother: Terrance (Laverne); and nieces: Darla (Randy) Stehmen, Laurie (Richard) Morris and Sherry (Dan) Stricek.

David was a 1959 graduate of Tyrone high school and proudly served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. David embarked on a profession as a lineman with local IBEW #126 and spent 18 years with Penelec, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion Post #281.

David enjoyed watching westerns and reading true history books and was an avid sports fan. Growing up he was an excellent baseball player, and his love for the game continued his entire life. His lifelong love of the Pirates is known to all who love him.

A memorial service for David Wesley Fike will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
