David J. Burns, 60, of Tyrone passed away on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Tyrone on August 22, 1963 to the late Charles E. Sr. and Delores E. (Lucas) Burns. On May 20, 1994, David married the love of his life Jackie Hopkins, who survives.

Along with his wife and his 3 fur babies, he is survived by brothers, Charles E. Burns, Jr. with spouse Becky D.; Gregory "Matt" Burns, and John M. Burns with spouse Crystal L.; and many nieces. He is preceded in death by his sister, Vickie L. Shaw and brother, William J. Burns;

Davey was a music fanatic and loved working in any garage, rebuilding cars, mowers and electronics. If it was broken, he'd fix it. If he wasn't in the garage, he might have been found by Juniata fishing, no matter the weather. He made use of his fishing license every year, and greatly enjoyed the company of his great-nephew Luke Bryan on his fishing trips.

Friends and family are welcome to Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 for a viewing from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. A celebration of life will be held the following day, Wednesday, November 22, at 11am with Ardean Latchford officiating. Interment will be held in private at Logan Valley Cemetery.
