Constance "Connie" Ann Steinbeiser, 73, of Tyrone, passed away on November 21, 2024. She was born in Altoona on November 19, 1951, the daughter of the late Joseph and Orvita (Riggleman) Knott Sr.. On June 8, 1974, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Altoona she married Richard Steinbeiser who survives. Also surviving are two children: Richard (Melissa) Steinbeiser II, and Kelly (Anthony) Brown; two grandchildren: Zachary Steinbeiser and Titan Brown; three siblings: Larry (Katherine) Knott Sr., Cindy (Lawrence) Nevling, and Jeffrey (Rebecca) Knott; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Annika Rose Steinbeiser and a brother, Joseph Knott Jr..
She was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Connie graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1969. After graduating she attended Altoona Hospital X-ray School and worked at UPMC Altoona as a radiology technologist for 44 years. Constance was very active, she enjoyed reading and crocheting, but she was known as an exercise enthusiast, engaging in spinning, walking, and yoga. Along with her husband, she was a coach with the Miracle League of Blair County for 17 years.
An 11 am mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Michael Pleva officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. as well as on Tuesday from 10 am until the 11 am mass at Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will be made following the mass at Calvary Cemetery Altoona. Contributions in her memory may be made to Miracle League of Blair County, P.O. Box1091, Altoona, PA 16603.
