Conchetta M. (Connie) Geraci, 94, of Tyrone died Friday October 14, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born September 5, 1922 in Osceola Mills, a daughter of Frank and Sara (Doria) Petula. On January 6, 1946 in Osceola Mills she married Anthony J. Geraci. He died December 9, 2009.

Surviving are a son Joseph A. Geraci and wife Marlene of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Joseph and Barbara Jean Geraci, Amy Whalen, seven great-grandchildren, a brother Anthony Petula of Osceola Mills and a sister Fannie Beres of Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Majestro, Bea DeLucia and Mary Barbelace.

Mrs. Geraci was formerly employed at the Tyrone Hospital Dietary Department and for Steele's Drug Store, Tyrone for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Altoona Lions and the Sons of Italy.

Connie enjoyed her family and friends and cooking for others. She was widely known for working charity events in the Tyrone community and for St. Matthew Church.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 12 Noon at St. Mathew Catholic Church with Fr. Jozef Kovacik celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home.
