Clair J. Bonsell, 93 of Tyrone died Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was born in Altoona on June 18, 1927. On August 21, 1991 he married Linda (Crust) Bonsell who survives. He is also survived by two children: Linda Kennedy and Clair Bonsell Jr; nine grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Clair was a member of the Tyrone Alliance Church and the Tyrone VFW Post #4559. Clair was an avid fisherman.

Clair served honorably in the US Army and was a World War II veteran. He worked as a furnace technician for Nittany Oil.

A 1:30 PM memorial service for Clair Bonsell will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Tyrone Alliance Church with pastor Carl Schmidt officiating. Private interment will be made at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
