Christine A. Barner, age 66, of Tyrone died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at UPMC Altoona. She was born August 18, 1950 at Holyoke, MA, the daughter of Henry E. and Alta M. Ackerman Roberts. On November 14, 1967 at East Hampton, MA she was married to Richard A. Barner who survives. Also surviving are three children, Patricia Ann, Kelly Lynn Christine and Richard (Jennifer) Barner II of Tyrone and ten grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Ellis.

​She was a member of the Spruce Creek United Methodist Church and a member of the church choir. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family members and was an excellent homemaker.

​Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 4 to 6 PM with the funeral service at 6 PM.
