Cheryl A. Benson, 54 of Tyrone, passed away on Sunday February 13, 2022. She was born on September 10, 1967, in Takoma Park, MD to John and Betty (Erwin) Collins who survive. Along with her parents, she is survived by her son: Daniel Benson; seven siblings: Melinda Reed, Billy Collins, Bobbie Cohenour, Sherry Fogal, Matthew Shaffer, Greg Shaffer, and Vanessa Rhodes.

Cheryl was a graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School. She was currently employed at Colonial Courtyard as a dietary technician. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, puzzles, walking, dirt track racing, fishing, and going to the beach. She loved spending time with family, especially her son, Daniel.

Cheryl was very generous and caring, she loved helping others in any way she could. She had visited Belize twice on mission trips, and enjoyed working with kids.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm at Feller Memorial Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her son Daniel.
