Charles "Jack" Neal Hunter, formerly of Tyrone, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his residence in Johnstown. He was born August 3, 1957, the son of the late Jack Hunter and the late Carole Beamer French. Jack is survived by his wife and companion of twenty-five years, Cathy Trimble Hunter of Altoona. Also surviving are three sisters: Cindy and Beth Hunter and Amy Gherrity; a brother: Timothy Hunter; a stepfather: Ray French; a maternal aunt; Donna Lloyd and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was a graduate of Tyrone Area Highschool. Later he attended and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a BS and a Masters Degree in Counseling Education. He had a lifetime commitment to helping others, working in various therapeutic settings such as addictions and family & child therapy. He was a gifted counselor.

Charlie was a life-long PSU football fan. He loved camping, nature, wildlife and his family and friends. He also loved his "furry kids".

A memorial service for Charles "Jack" Neal Hunter will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
