Charles C. Cassady, age 91, a former Tyrone resident and a guest at Hillview Manor, Altoona, died Thursday, November 19, 2015. He was born February 21, 1924 in Tyrone, the son of Charles H. and Marybelle Root Cassady. He was married to Janet L. Ehrisman who preceded him in death March 29, 2015. He is survived by two children, Charles C. (Susan) Cassady Jr. of Speedway, IN and Connie L. Woodring, Chula Vista, CA.

Mr. Cassady was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1942 served in the US Navy during World War II. He had formerly been employed by Westvaco and retired from the maintenance department of PPG Industries. He was a member of Howard Gardner American Legion Post #283, the Sinking Valley Country Club, the Tyrone Sportsmen, had been a member of the Tyrone Gardner Guards Drum and Bugle Corp. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and bowling.

Burial will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., 115 W. 10th Street, Tyrone, PA 16686
