Catherine K. "Kathy" Garland, 96, of Tyrone, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 12, 2025 surrounded by her family at Graystone Manor Bellmeade.

Catherine was born on August 11, 1929 in Prescot, England to the late Mary (Preston) Box and William Box.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her loving husband Duane "Jim" Garland whose she married on August 29, 1953 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Prescott, England, her sons; Kenneth and Alan Garland, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Kathy is survived by her loving daughters Janice (Mark) Endress of Bellwood, Krista (Bob) Peles of Starford, her grandchildren; David (Heather) Endress, Sheri (Ricky) Noonan, Emily Peles, Noah Peles, Leeah Peles, Allison Peles, Christopher (Jennifer) Garland, Ryan (Tarrah) Garland and Megan Garland, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Kathy was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Tyrone, PA. Kathy enjoyed being with her grandchildren, going to yard sales, flea markets and their dogs.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of Mass at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1105 Cameron Avenue, Tyrone, PA., 16686. A mass will be held for Catherine at St. Matthews at 11 AM with Father Michael Pleva.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Catherine's name can be donated to St. Matthews Catholic Church.

A big thank you to the staff at Graystone Manor Bellmeade for the excellent care that she received, especially the friendships that she made with the staff & Residents. "The Queen" loved you all. Thanks also to Gentiva Hospice for your help & Keeping her comfortable at the end and Father Pleva & Paula Lamber for their continued spiritual guidance and spiritual care.
