Betty Margaret Richardson, 99 of Tyrone and a guest at Embassy of Huntingdon Park, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday March 21, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1926, in Tyrone, the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Margaret B. (Wilcox) Moore. On March 21, 1962, in Amarillo, TX she married Robert C. Richardson Sr., who preceded her in death on October 4, 2017. She is survived by four children: James Reaser, Martie Mehrring, Robert C. (Natasha) Richardson Jr., and Beth Richardson Harms; six grandchildren: Susan, Christa, Shelbi, Alyssa, Samantha, and Nathan; seven great-grandchildren; and Kim Richardson, mother of Shelbi and Alyssa. She was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Moore, and was the last of her immediate family.

Betty was a 1944 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She served honorably in the United States Navy. She also served as a secretary during her working years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Smithfield.

She loved wildlife and animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed word searches, crosswords, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

A celebration of life service will be held on July 7, 2026, with details to be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to a local animal shelter of the donor's choice.
