Betty J. Miller, age 81, of Tyrone died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Tyrone Hospital. She was born June 24, 1933 in Tyrone, the daughter of Ernest and Priscilla Frye Ramsey. On March 9, 1956 she was married to Martin Miller who preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter Susan (Greg) Hathcock, NM, grandchildren Marty Miller, Tyrone and Jessica (Andy) Freese, CO and a great grandchild, Lila Newell. Also surviving are 3 sisters and 2 brothers – Margaret (Lee) Mull, Tyrone, Paul Ramsey, Mary Clark, John (Bonnie) Ramsey and Grace (Malcom) Detwiler, of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Miller and two brothers and a sister – Frank and Jim Ramsey and Connie Campbell.

Betty attended the Grazierville United Methodist Church. She had been employed as a seamstress at Big Yank for 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and scratch off lottery tickets.

Funeral service for Betty J. Miller will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 6 PM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with John Ramsey officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from
