Bella Rose Bonsell, 93 of Tyrone, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born on February 13, 1926 in Northwood, the daughter of William "Bill" and Ruth (Hastings) Phillips. In 1943, in Tyrone, she married George Bonsell Sr. who preceded her in death on June 15, 2012. She is survived by 4 daughters: Ruth (Fred) Estright, Donna Carlucci, Connie Sessamen and Joyce (Ray) Cingel; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons: George and Harry Bonsell; 1 great-grandson: Randy Estright Jr.; 1 sister: Mary Louise Adler; and 1 brother: Harold Richard "Dick" Phillips. Bella was the last of her immediate family.

Bella was employed as the manager of Young World Children's Store until her retirement in 1976. Bella was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Tyrone Historical Society, Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary, AARP and the Citizens Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, reading and spending time with family. She was also always up for a card game and loved playing poker and hand and foot with anyone who was up for the challenge.

Funeral service for Bella Rose Bonsell with be held at 11 AM at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 30, 2019 with pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Friends will be received on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. and on Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church from 10 until the 11 AM service.
