Barbara Lynne Barlett, 81 of Tyrone, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born in Philipsburg on September 16, 1943, the daughter of the late Clifford and Olive (Wickman) Isenberg she was also preceded by her biological father, Harold Rexford Barlett. Surviving are three children: Andrew and David Wunder, and Sarah (Bill) Ewing; five grandchildren: Taylor, DJ, Olivia, Braden, and Rachel; one great-granddaughter: Gracelyn; and four siblings: John (Peggy), Larry (Debbie), and Carl (Marti) Barlett, Virginia (Jeff) Harris, and Elizabeth (Wayne) Russell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other children who called her Grammy. She was preceded in death by a grandson Alex.

Barb was a 1961 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1965 graduate of Millersville University. She taught elementary education in the Myerstown, Philipsburg, Tyrone and West Branch area school districts, and even taught in Juneau, Alaska for a year. She was a member of Bald Eagle United Methodist Church and often attended Calvary Tyrone with her daughter.

She loved spending time with her family and taking care of children. She was an avid reader and taught many kids how to read. She enjoyed playing games and was in a bunco group and a pinochle group as well. She also loved traveling, the outdoors and hiking.

An 11 am celebration of life for Barbara Lynne Barlett will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Ewing officiating.
