Barbara E. Anderson, 69 of Tyrone, and a guest of Garvey Manor, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024. She was born on March 28, 1955, in Tyrone, the daughter of the late James H. and Shirley (Miller) Anderson. She is survived by her second cousins: Sara, Eric, and Jennifer.

Barb was a 1973 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and went on to receive a BS in Education from Edinboro University. She was a first grade teacher in the Tyrone Area School District and retired in 2003. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tyrone.

She loved colorguard and was very involved with it at Tyrone. She also loved her cats and the Hallmark Channel.

A 3 pm funeral service for Barbara E. Anderson will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Feller Memorial Home with Reverend Mark Liller officiating. Friends will be received from 1 pm until the time of service. Contributions in Barb's memory may be made to Mending Hearts, the Central PA Humane Society, or the Tyrone Area High School Colorguard.
