A. Joy (McCracken) Kelley, 87 of Epworth Manor in Tyrone, formerly of Altoona, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was born on December 28, 1932 in Altoona, the daughter of the late Luther L. And Mary B. (Goodman) McCracken. On June 20, 1953 in Altoona, she married Davidlee J. Kelley who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Michael A. and Mark A. (Kathleen) Kelley; a daughter: Eileen K. (Donald) Gearhart; two granddaughters: Bridget Goodman and Kristy Auman; and eight great-grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and is the last of her immediate family.

Joy was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School. She had been employed as a billing clerk by the Logan Valley Electric Company prior to the birth of her first child. From 1971 to 1978 she worked as a bank clerk for the Roaring Spring branch of Mid-State Bank.

She was of the Presbyterian faith and was heavily active in her church. She enjoyed painting, embroidery and sewing. Joy's main focus was her family, she loved spending time with them and caring for her children and making her house a home.
