Allen Dale Harper, 73 of Warriors Mark, died Tuesday July 21, 2020. He was born in Tyrone on September 22, 1946 to the late Robert D. and Betty Jane (Woomer) Harper. On December 3, 1969 in Tyrone he married Elaine Lawler who survives. Also surviving is a daughter: Mindy Harper of Irwin, PA; two granddaughters: Miranda (Casey) Carreiro and Allison Persi; and a brother: Gary (Ann) Harper.

Allen was a 1964 graduate of Tyrone High School. He served in the US Army. He was employed as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service from which he retired.

Allen enjoyed buying and selling antiques, loved collecting old trains, toys and records. He participated in auctions and went to many flea markets. He had a collection of many Tyrone-centric items. He was a caring husband, a great father and loving grandfather. His time spent with his family, especially his granddaughters was precious to him.

An 11 am funeral service will be held on Saturday July 25, 2020 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Beck McGee officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10 am until the 11 am service.

In accordance with the CDC and the state of Pennsylvania, the funeral home will be observing recommended social distancing practices.
