IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Allan L.
Daniels
April 24, 1947 – August 12, 2024
Allan L. Daniels, age 77, of Tyrone, died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024 as the result of a car accident. He was born April 24, 1947, the son of the late John and Helen (Popek) Daniels. On Sept. 1, 1973 in Pittsburgh, he married his beloved wife Linda Capoferri Daniels, who survives. He is also survived by four children, Bryan (Jennifer) of Hollidaysburg, Tara Mautone (Anthony) of Millburn, N.J., Matthew (Michelle) of Pittsburgh, and Alanna (Matthew) of Duncansville; six grandchildren, Giada (11) and Marcella (8) Mautone, Matteo (8) and Marco (5) Daniels, Elio (9) and Siena (7) Parsons; and two grand dogs, Orso Daniels and Bruno Mautone. Also survived by brother John (Bonnie) Daniels of Texas, brother-in-law Martin (Mary) Capoferri of Volant, one niece, four nephews, and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.
Originally from Pittsburgh, he graduated from Crafton High School in 1965. He attended Adams State University in Colorado on a Basketball and Football scholarship, before serving in the United States Army as a combat Airborne Ranger medic in Vietnam with the 173rd Brigade.
Allan enjoyed everything Pittsburgh — the sports, the food and the culture; but more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Anyone who knew Allan knew he was a man of conviction but sweet at heart, with a great sense of humor. He was very passionate in his beliefs, but also very laid back and light-hearted.
