Alan Lee Diehl, 72 of Tyrone, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born in Altoona on December 8, 1952, a son of the late William Diehl and Janet (Moyer) Diehl Pfiester. After William passed away, his mother later married his father, the late Robert Pfiester. On September 14, 1979, he married Nancy Ann Frank who survives. Also surviving are two children: Melissa Miller and Alan "AJ" Diehl II; one granddaughter: Bailee Miller; and four siblings: Bobbi Ann Schmitt, and Michael, Tim, and Terry Pfiester. He was preceded by his dog and companion Sophie on the same day of his passing.

Alan was a 1970 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a machinist at Cove Shoe Company along with other shoe companies throughout the years. He was also a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company as a social member.

He enjoyed fishing, wood working, puzzles, music, and westerns. He was a family man and enjoyed being social and hanging out with friends. He reveled in talking and having great fellowship with people. He was very social and friendly to everyone.

At the family's request there will be no services for Alan Lee Diehl. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
