Wilfred “Wif” Charles Harris, 74 of Tyrone, died Monday, March 8, 2021. He was born on October 2, 1946 in Phillipsburg, the son of the late Calvin and Marian Jane (Hale) Harris. On May 17, 1980, at the Birmingham Presbyterian Church he married Linda Fisher who survives. Also surviving are two brothers: Lynn (Patty) and Ralph (Laura) Harris; several nieces and nephews; and eleven grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded by a brother: Calvin Paul Harris.

Wif was a 1964 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was a self-employed farmer as well as a custodian at the Tyrone Area School District. Following high school, he worked at Corbin’s Hardware. He was a 50 year member of the Birmingham Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was a leader of the Huntingdon County 4-H club, a member of the Baby Beef Club, he enjoyed NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt Sr), and hunting.

Funeral services for Wilfred “Wif” C. Harris will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Birmingham Presbyterian Church with Reverend Barry Vance officiating.
