Obituary for Wesley E. Shultz
Wesley E. "Gene" Shultz, 75 of Tyrone, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1947, the son of the late Wesley Gerald and Ruby Maxine (Young) Shultz. He was preceded by his companion of over 50 years Sharon K. Beers on November 29, 2018. He is survived by three children: Wesley "Skip" (Billie) Beers, Bobbie Jo (Ron) Hagg, and Scott Beers all of Tyrone; three grandchildren: Kayla(Matt), Braydon, and Rianna; two great-granddaughters: Amelia and Adeline, and three sisters: Margaret Owens of Altoona, Vickie Killinger of Bellwood, and JoAnne Shultz of Tyrone.
Gene served honorably in the US Army for 14 years, where he reached the rank of Sergeant. He was employed by Conrail/Norfolk Southern Railroad for over 33 years and retired as a foreman of the M&W department in 2009.
An 11 am funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Feller Memorial Home. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home, as well as on Friday from 10 am until the service.
