Obituary for Shelly May Wilson

Shelly May (Bolinda) Wilson, 32, Tyrone, passed away unexpectedly Monday in the Emergency Room at Tyrone Regional Health Network.
She was born in State College, daughter of Sheldon and Nancy (Merryman) Bolinda. On May 5, 2012, she married Justin Wilson at Tyrone Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband; her mother of Tyrone; her father of Glasgow; her sister, Tracy Jo Bolinda Adams and husband, Kevin, and their children: Jocelyn, Juliet and Joanna, all of Endicott, N.Y.; her parents-in-law: John and Renee (Kolak) Wildon of Decker Hollow; a sister-in-law, Sarah Wilson of Bald Eagle Ave., Tyrone; a brother-in-law, Nicholas Wilson and wife, Holly, and their son, Bowen of Tyrone; aunts and uncles: Pamela, Robert, Richard, Lynne and Teresa; cousins: Wendy and husband, Daniel, Mason, Michael, Alicia and husband, Joshua, Taylor, Landon, Levi, Samuel, Linda, Eugene, Judith, Susan, and Eileen; and her three cats, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, who very much enjoyed her company during their lifetimes: Clair and Maryann (Leeper) Merryman and Joseph and Marian Gallagher Bolinda; and two cousins: Mandy Pate and Lee Miller.
Shelly spent her childhood in Fowler Hollow with her older sister, Tracy Jo. She enjoyed karate as a high school student and she graduated with honors from Tyrone Area High School in 2003, and from Penn State Altoona in 2007, with a bachelor's degree in communication. She worked as a credentialing specialist for a medical billing company in State College, and later as a project coordinator for Blair Companies, Altoona.
She enjoyed writing stories for children, especially tales with cats. She was an enthusiastic reader, with a wide ranging taste in books. Her favorite hymns were "His Eye is On the Sparrow," and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness."
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone, where a memorial service in thanksgiving for Shelly's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, the Rev. Eric Shafer officiating.
